Description

Reading Readiness Senior is a reading intervention program designed to support students in grades 5 - 8 who struggle with letter or sound knowledge, rhyming, syllable identification, and phoneme isolation. Students work in small groups and 1:1 with an OCT (Ontario Certified Teacher).

Participant Eligibility

Participants attending the sessions must:

  • Not be diagnosed/identified with an intellectual disability or significant behavioural support needs.

Cost: Member $200

Cost for subsidized student: $30

Subsidies are available; to qualify, you must confirm that you receive the Ontario Trillium Benefit. 

Target Audience: Grades 5-8

Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 19 - June 4, 2026 (no program on February 16 & March Break)
