The LDAWE offers an individualized math tutoring program using JUMP Math (a curriculum-aligned classroom math program developed by John Mighton, Ph.D., OC, who founded JUMPmath.org). This in-person program is for children in grades 3–8 who are at least one year behind in math and may be experiencing challenges such as a diagnosed, identified, or suspected math disability, general learning difficulties, or math-related anxiety.
Participants work with a trained numeracy tutor to build foundational math skills and computational fluency. JUMP Math is taught in small group sessions using a combination of direct instruction and engaging math games and activities to foster math confidence.
